Anya’s kindness was gentle, effortless, and deeply felt by everyone who knew her. To know her is to love her. She had a way of noticing those who needed love—whether it was a friend, her little brother, or her family. Her kindness wasn’t loud or grand; it lived in small, pure moments: sharing her laughter, comforting others without being asked, and caring for every creature she met with an open heart.

Even during her hardest days, Anya’s first instinct was still to give. She offered hugs, smiles, silly jokes, and warmth that made people feel safe. Her love for creatures reflected the same tenderness—she believed every animal deserved care, gentleness, and protection.

Anya’s kindness was simple and powerful:

Anya’s Mission was founded in loving memory of our daughter Anya, whose life was full of compassion, silliness, and a deep love for animals. Long before she ever faced cancer, Anya knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She loved every creature — big or small, wild or rescued — and dreamed of a world where animals were safe, cared for, and understood.

Though childhood cancer took Anya from us far too soon, her dream lives on through this mission.

Anya’s Mission supports wildlife sanctuaries, farm sanctuaries, animal rescue efforts, and provides scholarships for students pursuing veterinary studies.

By helping protect animals and supporting the future veterinarians who will care for them, we carry Anya’s love forward into the world.

For Anya, for the animals she adored, and for the future she deserved.

The word “animal” comes from the Latin animalis, meaning having breath, having soul or living being.

Anya’s Mission exists to continue Anya’s dream of caring for animals and supporting the people who devote their lives to them.

We provide resources, supplies, and funding to sanctuaries that rescue, rehabilitate, and protect wild animals.

We assist farm sanctuaries that give abused, abandoned, and neglected farm animals a safe and loving home.

🐾 3. Uplifting Animal Welfare Efforts

From rescue groups to rehabilitation centers, we help organizations doing hands-on work to care for animals in need.

🎓 4. Veterinary Scholarships

We fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in veterinary medicine — helping ensure the next generation of compassionate veterinarians Anya once dreamed of joining.
